Want to buy custom C-Prints in NYC?
There are certain questions that you’ll be asked by a professional print house to determine how your finished product will look, what materials will be used, etc.
Here are some helpful tips when preparing to order C-Prints of your work:
How do you envision your work being displayed?
Mounting or framing? Prefer the frame-less look? Shadowbox framing?
Obviously whoever you talk to should be able to walk you through the options, explaining each one and showing examples, but the more you know in advance, the better! We welcome all your questions, and look forward to putting our many years of experience to use!
What paper type or paper finish do you want?
For C-Prints, the choices are usually matte, glossy, metallic, or flex.
How are you submitting your photos or work?
You might have a painting you want to be reproduced, so bringing in the original would be the first step. What if you have a large painting you want to be printed and can’t bring it in? We’ll pick it up!! Maybe you have a file, like a JPEG, PDF, EPS or TIFF. Many people email the file to us at firstname.lastname@example.org, but there’s also the option to upload the file via our website, making it easy to get started!! You can also bring in a thumb drive, CD, or floppy disk (jk).
So, those are just a few things to consider when buying C-Prints, or any custom print for that matter. Do you have anything to add? Let us know in the comments!
